Factual BIPOC History

We need to teach our future generations about white privilege, white supremacy and to have honest conversations about race. Achieving racial justice means reforming our institutions. Demand that the comprehensive history of Black, Indigenous and People of Color be taught in all our educational institutions.

Profits donated to help restore communities

100% of profits from The Progressivists shopfront is donated to HAVEN, the non-profit collective of BIWOC and non-binary identifying folks rooted towards abolition, liberation and healing, through art and storytelling.

Medical Racism

Black American women are dying from preventable pregnancy-related complications at 3-4 times the rate of white women. British Black and Pakistani folks are more than 2.5 times more likely to die of COVID-19 in English hospitals than white folks. The life expectancy of Indigenous Australian males is estimated to be 8.6 years lower than non-Indigenous males and 7.8 years lower for females.

Demand our medical establishments enact comprehensive cultural awareness training for medical professionals, as well as increased recruitment from the communities of Black, Indigenous and/or People of Color.

NR8: Gun Control

Senator Chris Murphy and California Governor Gavin Newsom — together with gun safety groups and the progressive social movement, The Progressivists — joined forces to raise money for seven Democratic candidates in competitive races across the country as well as one gun-related ballot measure, in the lead-up to the 2022 U.S. mid-terms.

Over-incarceration of BIPOC Women and Mothers

The over‐policing of women from Black, Indigenous and People of Color communities directly contributes to their higher rates of charging and imprisonment for minor offences compared to those same crimes by white/white-passing women. Achieving racial justice means reforming our institutions. Demand our elected officials address the high proportion of incarcerated women and mothers from BIPOC communities.
