Bio

Jo Lorenz is a writer, community organizer and communications professional.

She is the co-founder of the political and sociopolitical social platform, The Progressivists, which speaks directly to more than 800,000 people, and is one of the lead-organizers for the abolitionist movement, Here4TheKids.

With more than 25 years of experience, Jo has worked in several international organizations, on political campaigns with high-profile U.S. politicians, with well-known non-profit organizations, and has written for several notable international publications — and yet throughout her professional journey, has increasingly made the assertion that the intent of all our various establishments represent nothing of real value if they are not representing sincere and comprehensive liberation.

Yet, beyond this awareness, Jo’s work with Here4TheKids invites people to directly change that narrative through organizing and direct action.
